Curtis L. Bordelon – Chief Executive Officer

Curtis has over 38 years in the oilfield service business starting in 1974 with Dresser Magcobar as a Drilling Fluids Engineer. In the 34 years at what is now MI Swaco a Schlumberger Company, Curtis held many management positions in several geographic locations and was responsible for growth in the Drilling Fluids, Production Chemical, Completion Fluids and Environmental Solutions services. Curtis’s last three years were spent as Senior Vice President of a business unit realizing growth from $740 million to $1.4 billion in his final year. Curtis was also involved with numerous acquisitions and their successful integration at MI Swaco. Curtis’s last position at Schlumberger was Director of Sales for their Drilling Tools and Remedial Company before his departure in January 2013. Curtis attended the University of Southwestern Louisiana now known as University of Louisiana Lafayette.

Garrett E. Tucker – Chief Operating Officer

Garrett began his career supporting RSI’s clients in the Austin Chalk ranging from East Texas to Central Louisiana. In 2012, Garrett relocated to RSI’s corporate and manufacturing facility to supervise manufacturing operations and to support the Company’s continued growth. His primary focus as Chief Operating Officer is regional development and strategy, account management and capital budgeting. Garrett has other senior responsibilities for P&L management, chemical business line budgets, supply chain oversight, and business development. Garrett graduated with a BBA in Management from Texas A&M University. He earned his M.B.A from Texas Tech University. He resides in Cypress, Texas with his wife, Kelsey and son, Reese.

Richard M. Forrest – Chief Financial Officer

Richard joined Refinery Specialties in May 2015. Richard started his career in public accounting as an auditor with Gainer, Donnelley and Desroches and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas. Since 2012, Richard has contributed his expertise in structure, controls and reporting in manufacturing, distribution, fabrication and service sectors of the oil and gas industry. Richard has been involved in several acquisitions, mergers, and consolidations. Richard attended the University of Houston’s Bauer college of Business and received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting.

Kevin Buteaux – Vice President, Sales and Technical Services

Kevin has over 23 years of oilfield experience. He started his career in the Gulf of Mexico in 1993 working with three producers on multiple production platforms stretching from the coast of South Texas to the Alabama Coast all located within the OCS. In 2003 Kevin joined MI Swaco Production Technologies where he held various positions. Upon his departure in 2014 his position was US Technical Services Manager. In 2014 Kevin transitioned to RSI where he currently manages a Technical Services team consisting of 16 people, overseeing 6 major basins and various legacy assets spreading throughout the United States.

Brad Christian – Vice President, Technical Sales

Brad has been in the oilfield chemical business for over 20 years, having spent some time in nearly all roles within the company. He has in-depth experience in logistics and transportation, field technical service, manufacturing, safety, procurement, analytical chemistry, R&D, customer support, chemical program monitoring, reporting and management, finance and accounting, electronic data integration, business development, and leadership. He has led teams creating innovative and optimized solutions for drilling, completion, production, and midstream issues. He is architect and lead engineer on RSI’s Unified Services Platform (USP), a middleware system that automates and optimizes the day-to-day activities of nearly everyone in the company. Currently, he spends much of his time working directly and indirectly with customers to lower total cost and increase value provided by RSI.

Larry Gatlin – Consultant

Larry Gatlin has over 50 years of experience in all aspects of the oilfield business. He has held various roles for: CAMCO, Inc., Champion Chemicals, Fincher Engineering, Independent Products, Inc., Alpha Intermediates Corporation/Clearwater, Weatherford-Lamb, in 2006 Larry started LWG Consulting Services, where he consulted for RSI and In June 2014, Larry joined RSI Chemicals in a full-time position as Vice President of Research and Development. Larry holds 30+ patents and multiple publications. He has a B.S. in Chemistry from Northeast Louisiana State University.

Mickey D. Tucker – Advisor

Mickey has over 34 years in all phases of oilfield chemical business from start-up, product development, manufacturing to technical sales. Prior to starting RSI Chemicals, Incorporated in 1989, Mickey assumed the operations of a family business in 1978. Mickey effectively increased sales from $120,000 to over $5 million over nine years and successfully negotiated a sale of the business to Quaker Petroleum. Mickey founded RSI in 1989 to provide chemical solutions to the process side of the refinery industry. In 1995, Mickey entered the oilfield chemical market and has effectively grown RSI to approximately $60 million in total revenue by the end of 2012. Technical advances included a line of film-persistent water-based corrosion inhibitors, improvement in Hydrogen Sulfide Scavengers Down-Hole Scale Inhibition products and a line of acid and stimulation chemicals. RSI expanded into acid and stimulation in 1999, high pressure pump down services in 2007 and water and acid frac services in 2011. Mickey graduated with a BS in Accounting from Texas Tech University in 1977.

Thomas A. Kahlden – Advisor

Thomas has been an owner and partner at RSI since 1995. From 1991 – 1995, Thomas was the district manager for Unichem International where he opened the Bryan, TX district. In addition to Unichem, from 1990 – 1997, Thomas owned and operated Kahlden Production Services, a vacuum truck company he later sold to Key Energy. From 1988 – 1991, Thomas handled all purchases and application of production and pipeline chemicals for waterfloods as a chemical consultant for the Woodbine Operating Company. 1984 – 1988, Thomas was a Production Chemicals sales manager for Quaker Chemical, and held the same position for Conroe Chemical Company from 1980 – 1984. Prior to Conroe Chemical Company, Thomas was a Special Projects Engineer in the Magobar Division for Dresser Industries. Thomas received a B.S. in Biomedical Science from Texas A&M University in 1978 and is a member of the Brazos Valley American Petroleum Institute.
